“ We had a milestone birthday dinner here on a Sunday afternoon, just before the kitchen closed. I want to commend the waitresses for being so friendly and energetic even though we were a table of 7 who had come in right at the end of (what I imagine was) their shift. They were very attentive and polite to my in-laws, who can be very chatty at times. They also stored my husband's birthday cake for me, and brought it out at the perfect time (without me having to ask) with the candles that I had brought lit and arranged nicely. Between us, we had a variety of things from the menu, but most notable were my BBQ ribs, I had to get everyone to try some because they were that good! The only other food comment was that the beef burger was on the dry side. ”
“ Delicious cheeseboard, don't think the sandwich was freshly made, had been premade, and chilled, which spoilt it. Great chips. Friendly prompt service. Beautiful view. No accessible entrance. My partner had to negotiate four steep steps. ”
“ OMG such a fabulous night had! The staff here are brilliant! Personable, sensitive, reactive and professional. At 50 odd, had my best friend's hen night at an Abba tribute night. These guys supported everything, treated us beautifully, were fun and professional. Not often you see that. Could not have asked for more from this venue. 100% perfect. Thank you for making my friends hen night perfect! Keep doing what you're doing because the staff you have are brilliant x ”
“ Fabulous lunch today with friends, received the warmest of welcomes and staff were attentive throughout. The food was absolutely fantastic, I understand they have a new Head Chef? Er shared the camembert to start.Highly recommend the burgers especially, my friend also enjoyed the Minute Steak. Top tip- book in advance if you want a table in the window area overlooking the IOW. We weren’t lucky enough to get a table in there today so know to book next time. We are already out next visit. ”
“ Absolutely fantastic! 1st time we have visited this lovely restaurant. We had a booking of 8, last minute and they happily, kindly accommodated us. Reasonable pricing, really great food, and a nice selection too. The staff were happy, welcoming and we're always ready to help. Nothing was too much trouble. Nice kids menu too with a lovely piece of fish. All fresh and tasted great. Huge car park outside, and a walk from the town or beach. We will definitely be back. Also looking forward to the many events this restaurant seem to host. Thanks :) ”
“ Went with my family (vegan and non vegan) after a sunny afternoon at the beach. Me and my partner had the plant (vegan) fish and chips. It was incredible! We loved that they used banana blossom instead of a fish alternative and the meal was so tasty! My family also had the fish and chips and ribs and really enjoyed theirs too! ”
“ After visiting the Farmhouse Tea Rooms in Burley in the New Forest and although rather cold, decided to travel down to the coast to Highcliffe, unlike my previous visit last summer for the food festival , it was relatively quiet Walked down to the beach, such great views over to the Needles on the IOW, found the restaurant open , so along with my relation, we decided to make a visit I had a chai latte and a piece of carrot cake, and the staff were so helpful , definitely well worth a visit ”
“ My wife and I had breakfast here a couple of days ago, the food was fantastic and beautifully presented. I had the vegetarian breakfast and my wife had the granola with fresh fruit and Greek yogurt, so tasty. The staff are really lovely and made us and our two dogs feel so very welcome. Thank you . ”
